A π+ proton partial wave amplitude analysis for Psub(lab)=1.6 up to 10 GeV/c

Creators

Description

A partial wave amplitude analysis of π+p elastic scattering over a large energy range extending from 1.6 GeV/c up to 10 GeV/c is reported. The aim of the analysis is to try to determine the contributions of at least dominant resonances and thereby obtain a clearer understanding of particle interactions in this range. The analysis was carried out at 14 energies. The resulting Argand diagrams for the partial wave amplitudes show interesting loop structures, from which it is possible to extract resonance parameters (mass, elasticity and full width)
