A global approach for the software design in a dependable context
Description
The software validation is a crucial point in the field of dependable system development. A global approach is proposed, combining the classical fault avoidment strategy and a formal validation relatively to a set of very important properties expected for the system. These goals are reachable thanks to the use of an appropriate language, according to the type of applications in the area of real-time automatic control. In the paper the language and its environment as well as the strategy of fault avoidment applied on the development are presented. Proof techniques usable on the software produced are outlined. 5 refs, 9 figs
