Developments on superconducting V3Ga materials

Creators

  • 1. National Research Inst. for Metals, Tokyo (Japan)

Description

The superconducting intermetallic compound V3Ga which is available as a tape or as multifilamentary wires, exhibits a high critical current density in large magnetic fields. The processing and superconducting properties of recently developed V3Ga tapes made by the surface diffusion process and V3Ga multifilamentary wires made by the composite process are described.
