Activity measurements of radionuclides with highly converted transitions by electron spectrometry

Description

An internal conversion electron spectrometry with a silicon detector has been used to measure 193mIr activity in the presence of 192Ir. The spectrometer consists of a measurement chamber with a high vacuum pump and a tunable accelerating electric field to eliminate X-ray interferences. This electron spectrometry has also been used in conjunction with a gamma-ray spectrometry to determine a number of internal conversion coefficients for 101Rh and 153Gd to assist in the derivation of the decay schemes for these radionuclides.
