236U total neutron cross section in the energy range 1.8-734 keV
- 1. Institute of Nuclear Research (Russian Federation)
Description
In this present work, we measured (by the transmission method) the total neutron cross sections and investigated resonance self-screening of U-236 in the range 1.8---734 keV using the method of filtered beams of reactor neutrons. The characteristics of single and multigroup neutron filters are presented in references (8) and (9). Annealed samples of oxides of uranium enriched in U-236 were used for measuring the total neutron cross section. Good agreement with existing values was obtained
