EPR study of La1.94Ba0.06CuO4 single crystal

Description
Single crystals of La1.94Ba0.06CuO4, as prepared, were investigated by EPR and they were found to be EPR silent. It was observed that when these crystals were deoxygenated by quenching from 1000 degC to liquid nitrogen temperature (giving weight loss of ≅ 3%), they showed a complex spectrum, which was angle dependent and some lines in the spectrum existed for a short stretch of angles during angular variation study
