Description
An integro-differential equation which describes the anomalous penetration of an oscillating axial magnetic field into a homogeneous, unmagntized cylindrical plasma column is solved numerically by a finite element expansion. Test cases show the good convergence properties of the method. Available experimental data are compared with numerical results obtained using the measured parameters. (Auth.)
