The sensitivity of Dumand arrays to extraterrestrial neutrino fluxes

Creators

  • 1. Hawaii Univ., Honolulu (USA)

Description

The minimum detectable flux of extraterrestrial neutrinos for a range of DUMAND array sizes is calculated. Expressed in terms of the integral flux in cm-2s-1 above 1 TeV, the results are of the order of 10-10 for νsub(μ), 10-8 for νsub(e). The astrophysical significance is briefly discussed
