Minimum-light spectra of nine M-type variable stars

Description
Spectral types are given for eight M -type long-peried variables and one 8Ra variable all of which were observed at or near minimum light. Several explanations of the apparendy anomalous spectral type (M8) found for R Vir are discussed. Key words: long -p eriod variables - spectral types
