A fast charge sensitive preamplifier based on current feedback operational amplifier

Description
A fast charge sensitive preamplifier based on current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) is introduced in this paper. Instability of the circuit from the direct feedback of CFOA circuit capacitively is avoided by means of the introduction of a small resistance. Meanwhile, the noise is reduced by giving appropriate values of the feedback resistance and capacitance/giving the feedback resistance and capacitance appropriate values. The preamplifier is characterized with high bandwidth, high SNR and temporal resolution, so far, it has been used in ground simulation experiment for single event effect at TR 5 terminal, Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou, successfully.
