Stress and deflection analysis of reactor internals due to seismic and maximum hypothetical LOCA loading conditions
Description
The main purpose of this study essentially lies in presenting an integrated approach for modelling PWR reactor internals and evolving design criteria under the influence of simultaneous application of LOCA and seismic excitations. The study discusses a general outline, whereby major components of PWR are idealized into a Planar three-dimensional multidegree of freedom lumped-mass system and analysed for response under LOCA and seismic loads. In addition, analytical methods for predicting response of individual components are also outlined
