Fabrication of magnetic glass by femtosecond laser welding

  • 1. Dongguan University of Technology, Dongguan 523808 (China)

Description

This research provides a method for making magnetic glass by using a femtosecond laser to weld magnetic powder into a welding line. In this paper, considering that the high repetition rate is regarded as an important parameter affecting the welding quality, the change laws of the bonding strength and saturation magnetization of magnetic glass after welding with the high repetition rate were studied. This paper presents a promising method to fabricate magnetic glass for different utilizations in an efficient, accurate and environmentally friendly way. (letter)
