Description
The invention relates to the radiometric analysis for the determination of K2O contents in potash. An assembly for the compensation of the influence of bulk density variations was developed making use of the 40K-characteristic radiation. The salt stream to be measured is surrounded by a definite quantum of 40K-salt resulting in a 2 pi- or 4 pi-measurement geometry without transportation of the compensation material. The use of an irradiator and the corresponding radiation protection measures can be dropped
