High flux 2.45 GHz microwave ion source development
Description
Thesis entitled 'Design and development of 2.45 microwave ion source based high flux system and its applications' involves the design, development, fabrication, installations and commissioning of a high flux system as an experimental facility to perform experiments in the field of accelerator physics, materials science and plasma physics. The development of two microwave ion sources and one high flux system will be discussed. The experimental results related to plasma characterization, ion beam measurements along with the ion implantation work carried out using the commissioned high flux system will be presented. A brief summary of the work done during this thesis work will be reported in this paper. (author)
