Determination of the radiation parameters of materials emerging from nuclear reactor dismantling and disposal

Description
The issue of determining the inventory of radioactive isotopes in nuclear reactors being dismantled and disposed of is outlined. A specific section is devoted to calculations using of the MCNP5 transport code. An example is given, presenting calculation of the induced activity of dummy elements of the VVER-440/V230 reactor at the Jaslovske Bohunice V1 nuclear power plant. The results are compared with data from the Loviisa and Kola NPPs.
