A pilot study of expression of CDKN1A gene in radiation workers
- 1. China Institute for Radiation Protection, Taiyuan (China)
Description
The aim of the present study is to investigate the expression mode of CDKN1A gene in radiation workers preliminarily. The fluroescence quantitative real time RT-PCR was applied to quantify the level of the target gene in the leucocytes of peripheral blood cells. The results showed that no difference in the expression of CDKN1A gene was observed between the groups of radiation workers and the control. Furthermore, there was no change in the accounts and percentages of types of leucocytes. The Ct value of CDKN1A mRNA was 1.6 times that of beta-actin. The finding is useful in determination of the normal value of CDKN1A mRNA in healthy people. (authors)
