Temperature dependence of structure and mechanical properties of YBa2Cu3O7-x superconducting ceramics

Description
Change of structure and mechanical properties of YBa2Cu3O7-x superconducting ceramics during 5 g/cv3 density cylingrical sample heating from - 196 to + 930 deg C is studied. It is shown that cuprate deoxidation under heating is accompanied by increase of microtwin thickness in orthorhombic phase and its transformation to a tetragonal phase causes a sharp decrease of strength properties from 230 to 20 MPa in the 600-930 deg C temperature range
