Control device for helical system
Description
Multipole magnetic fields are formed by a plurality of poloidal coils, and plasma current is controlled by varying the magnetic fields. At least vertical magnetic fields and current transformer magnetic fields are formed for forming the multipole magnetic fields, and if the magnetic field components are converted to current components in accordance with transformation matrix, the current of each of the poloidal coils can be determined based on each of the magnetic field components. Then, since the plasma current is controlled by varying the magnetic fields formed from the poloidal coils without using exclusive current transformer coils, running cost of the system can be reduced.
