Sequential fission after quasi-elastic scattering
Description
The experimental results of sequential fission are presented for collision of /sup 238/U(5.4 MeV/μ) on /sup 48/Ca, /sup 45/Sc and /sup 238/U(6.0 MeV/μ) on /sup 16/O, /sup 27/Al, /sup 48/Ca, /sup 45/Sc, /sup 48/Ti, /sup 58/Fe, /sup 64/Ni and /sup 89/Y targets. The measurements of ternary events in exit channel have been recorded by triple coincidence among 4 PSAC with area of 20cm x 30cm. The reconstruction of ternary events are performed by direct kinematics and the fission partner among three fragments is identified by relative velocities between them. The detection geometry efficiency is determined by a Monte-Carlo simulation
