Description

The effect of thermochining regimes on the strengthening and relaxation stability of the experimental commercial austenitic steel 10Kh18N10G3S2M2 was studied with the use of mathematical experiment planning. It is shown that the regime of thermomachining of strip from the indicated steel, which includes wire deformation by 55% before flattening and subsequent ageing at 520-550 deg C, ensures a sufficiently high resistance to stress relaxation without impairing the increased elasticity limit. A comparison of the steel under investigaiton with the commercial steel 12Kh18N10T showed that steel 10Kh18N10G3S2M2 compares with steel 12Kh18N10T in its mechanical and corrosion properties and greatly exceeds it in relaxation resistance under the effect of increased temperatures (400 deg C) and loads (above 100 kgf/mm2)
