Clinical role MR angiography in preoperative cortical venous mapping
Description
This paper evaluates the clinical role of MR angiography (MRA) in preoperative cortical venous mapping as an adjunct to lesion localization. Routine T1- and T2-weighted spin echo images were acquired on a 1.5-T MR imaging system. Of five patients imaged, four were of pediatric age. MRA was performed with a two-dimensional spoiled gradient-echo pulse sequence. Three-dimensional angiograms were retrospectively obtained with a ray-tracing projection program. Vertex views of the cortical veins were obtained by postprocessing and collapse of the most superior acquired sections
