Description

After analysing the spectra of protons back-scattering from the titanium deuteride thin film deposited on Molybdenum, the cross section of P-D back scattering was deduced. Because the P-D back-scattering spectra are superposed on the P-Mo scattering spectra, the counts of P-D back-scattering were gotten indirectly by theoretically analysing the spectra of P-Mo scattering which obeys the Rutherford formula. The multi-scattering of protons in solid, which causes a large discrepancy between the P-Mo experimental spectra and the P-Mo theoretical one, had been also discussed. Based on the experimental data, the dependence of the variation of P-Mo scattering counts on the scattering energy, scattering degree and scattering depth, which is caused by the multi-scattering of protons, was deduced
