Method for iodine extraction
Description
A method is proposed for the extraction of iodine from industrial process solutions, comprising oxidation by hydrogen peroxide and extraction by TBP, characterized by the fact that for diminishing the consumption of the oxidant, TBP is preliminarily saturated with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of sulphuric acid. Hydrogen peroxide is introduced into sulphuric acid in an amount of 4-6 wt.%
