The strangled harmonic oscillator
Description
A decaying Hamiltonian is considered as the basis of an alternative model for damping in the harmonic oscillator. Solutions are derived in both the Heisenberg and Schroedinger pictures. In general the system comes to rest at an off central position with a finite momentum
