Excitation cross sections of the tin atom

Description
The method of intersecting beams has been used to study the electron impact excitation of the spectral lines of the tin atom. The absolute values of the excitation cross sections of sixty lines of SnI, located in the 190--840-nm region of the spectrum, have been measured at an energy of the exciting electrons of 50 eV. The optical excitation functions have been recorded for forty-one lines in the energy range from the threshold to 250 eV
