Trends in the development of modern biomass boilers

  • 1. Technical University, Faculty of Power Engineering and Power Machines, Department of Thermal Engineering and Nuclear Power Engineering, Sofia (Bulgaria)

Description

The ability of automatic biomass boilers to control the instantaneous heat load is one of their main advantages over manually operated boilers. The precise regulation of air / fuel ratio ensures optimum combustion. Automation of the boiler monitors the air / fuel ratio, steam pressure (for steam boilers), water temperature (for water boilers), temperature and oxygen content of the exhaust gas, fuel consumption, fuel supply system and ash dischargers.
