Multiparametric pulse cytophotometry in cell and radiation research

Description
A new pulse-cytophotometric multiparametric technic has been used to determine simultaneously protein, doublestranded and singlestranded nucleic acids in cells stained by o-Phthaldialdehyd-Acridinorange. Ehrlich Ascites Tumour cells partially synchronized in sigma1 by 5-Fluorouracil and Velbe and X-irradiated (500 rd) contain more singlestranded nucleic acids than cells not synchronized before, 8 days after transplantation. In comparison to parabasal cells the superficial cells in the cervical epithelium show an increased amount of protein and singlestranded nucleic acids. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Ein neues, vielparametriges, impulszytophotometrisches Verfahren wird dazu benutzt, gleichzeitig den Gehalt der Zelle an Protein, doppel- und einstraengiger Nukleinsaeure zu bestimmen (Faerbung: o-Phthaldialdehhyd-Acridinorange). Ehrlich Aszitestumorzellen der Maus, teilsynchronisiert in sigma1 durch 5-Fluorouracil und Velbe, enthalten 8 Tage nach Roentgenbestrahlung (500 rd) und Transplantation mehr einstraengige Nukleinsaeure als nicht synchronisierte Zellen. Die Superfizialzellen des menschlichen Zervixepithels enthalten mehr Protein und einstraengige Nukleinsaeure als Parabasalzellen. (orig.)Additional details
