Investigation of intermolecular interactions in condensed phases, applying EXAFS spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction, using anomalous scattering
Description
Applying EXAFS spectroscopy, the hydrophobic interaction has been investigated, which is of great significance in biology and biochemistry. The model systems used for these studies are solutions of rare gases in water, ethanol and n-propanol. A multichannel analyser has been used to measure the anomalous scattering to electron transfer interactions in bromobenzene and ethyl bromide. (orig./BBR)

Mit Hilfe von EXAFS Spektrosopie wurden die hydrophobe Wechselwirkung, die von zentraler Bedeutung in Biologie und Biochemie ist, an geeigneten Modellsystemen (Loesungen von Edelgasen in Wasser, Ethanol und n-Propanol) untersucht und unter Verwendung eines Vielkanalanalysators die anormale Streuung zur Elektronen-Transfer-Wechselwirkung in Brombenzol und Ethylbromid gemessen.
