Description

Objective: To evaluate MRI diagnosis of osteochondritis dissecans. Methods: MRI of 30 patients with osteochondritis dissecans was correlated with arthroscopy. Results: The medial femoral condyle was the most commonly affected location in the knee (26/30) followed by the lateral femoral condyle (4/30). There was high correlation between the MRI manifestation and arthroscopy. Conclusion: Osteochondritis dissecans in the knee has specific MRI manifestations with high arthroscopic correlation and can be diagnosed by MRI. (authors)
