Synthesis of Zn:XCe by Sonochemical Method with photocatalytic property

Description

Full text: Recently studies in the production of ceramic materials have a variety of practical applications, especially doping with rare earth elements. Doping of ZnO nanostructures is of great interest for a variety of optical applications and an ideal material for high power laser, light diode, etc. and have grown considerably in the last decades with properties that present a strong scientific and technological appeal due to its wide range of applications such as sensors, LEDs (diodes in very high storage capacity), photocatalysis [1]. The sonochemical Method was efficient in the single-phase synthesis of Zn1-xCexO, with increasing concentration of Ce (x = 0.01, 0.02, 0.04 and 0.08), constant temperature at 100 ℃ for 20, 30, and 40 min, 60 % amplitude, the power which was studied and demonstrated a great potential to be used in the photocatalytic property [2]. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (EDS), were used to characterize the products, as thus the power were investigated the potential photocatalytic property. Thus, proving the advantages for the application process and used lower temperature with efficiency in economy energy, this study have as interest in investigating the possibility of finding potential substitutes for the traditional photocatalysts of the same oxides that can be used in combination with the Zn1-xCexO system to increase the efficiency of the same.
