Description

This patent describes a vertically collapsible radiation shield device including a shield adapted to be moved between a first raised condition and a second collapsed condition and a flexible suspension means for raising and lowering the shield. The shield includes overlapping horizontally elongated slats of radiation shielding material. Each one is individually attached near its top edge to the suspension means so that the slats are individually suspended at spaced intervals along the suspension means
