Description
Problems of preparation of sodium iodide labelled with 125I by 124Xe irradiation in WWR-SM reactor are considered. Calculations are done and the selection of optimal irradiation regime is carried. The product aimed are obtained with 126I impurity content of ∼0.005 % as a result of irradiation of 278 mg of enriched 124Xe over 2.5 hours in neutron flux 1.3 x 1014 neutrons/(cm2 s) and for 10 days exposure after irradiation

Рассмотрены вопросы получения иодида натрия, меченного 125I, путем облучения 124Xe в ядерном реакторе ВВР-СМ. Проведены расчеты и исследования по выбору оптимального режима облучения, в результате которых при облучении 278 мг обогащенного 124Xe в течение 2.5 ч в потоке нейтронов 1.3 x 1014 нейтрон/(см2 с) и выдержки мишени после облучения в течение 10 сут получен целевой продукт с содержанием примеси 126I порядка 0.005 %Additional details
