Process for the manufacture of dosed uranium dioxide and its use as a nuclear reactor fuel
Description
The reactor fuel which inhibits the emission of gaseous fission products consists of ceramic, sintered, polycrystalline Usub(O) with 0.15 to 3.7% by weight of MgO. Manufacture takes place in an oxidising atmosphere of H in CO2 with sintering at 1400-16000C and reduction in a hydrogen atmosphere at 1200-14000C. (DG)

Der den Austritt gasfoermiger Spaltprodukte inhibierende Reaktorbrennstoff besteht aus keramischem, gesintertem, polykristallinem U2O mit 0,15 bis 3,7 Gew.-% MgO. Die Herstellung erfolgt in einer oxidierenden Atmosphaere aus H in CO2 mit Sintern bei 1400-16000C sowie einer Reduktion in einer H-Atmosphaere bei 1200-14000C. (DG)Files
