Status of post-irradiation implant indications in the mandibular region

Description

30 years ago, cervicofacial irradiation was an absolute contraindication to implantology. With medical progress, particularly in oncology therapeutics, this contraindication has been called into question. Following a review of the literature on implant outcomes in irradiated areas, it appears that the use of implants should be considered in the therapeutic arsenal of overall prosthetic rehabilitation in irradiated patients. However, anatomical and histological changes, as well as the patient's general state of health, mean that precautions must be taken during implementation

Abstract (French)

(auteur)
