Creators

  • 1. Japan Atomic Power Co., Tokyo (Japan)

Description

The record of the operation of the Japanese nuclear power plants in the last few years showed a very marked reduction in the incidence of unscheduled shutdowns including scrams. Factors contributed to the improvement in the operation include that the Japanese plants strived to determine the cause of every unscheduled shutdown such as cram in a prompt and exact manner, and have taken corrective measures, and in particular, have taken careful measures to prevent recurrence of the event including those on similar component or systems
