Pulsed electron accelerator

  • 1. Division of Thermophysics, Tashkent (USSR)

Description

A pulsed electron accelerator is described that produces a ribbon beam with a cross section of 4 x 20 cm. Several types of cathodes are tested. The maximum beam current is 1.5 kA for a duration of 500 nsec and a cathode potential of 260 kV. Good spatial uniformity is achieved with a graphite cathode
