Description

Relative merits of different methods in radioassay of three soft beta emitting isotopes like 3H, 14C and 35S from plant material have been assessed. The methods used are: (1) combustion method (2) use of tissue solubilizing agents and (3) wet digestion method. Results show that determinations of 14C by combustion method; 3H by combustion and Mahin and Lofberg's method; and 35S by wet digestion method are superior for plant material than the other methods tried.
