The scalar meson G(1590), a glueball candidate
Description
The production of a new scalar meson G(1590) has been observed in the charge-exchange reaction π-p → G eta, with the 38 GeV/c pion beam of the 70 GeV IHEP accelerator, through its decays in eta eta'. The measured ratio of the partial widths of the G + eta'eta and G → eta eta decay channel is 2.7 +- 0.8, in agreement with the value expected for glueball
