Description
A theoretical study of polaron mechanism of high-Tc superconductivity (HTSC) in layered cuprates is presented using Frohlick Hamiltonian. Self consistent equation for the superconducting order parameter has been derived using Green's function technique and equation of motion method. The theory is applied to explain the experimental results in high-Tc system, YBa2Cu3O7-δ. The study of specific heat, the density of states, free energy, critical field and phase transition is also presented. (author). 15 refs
