Fluence to effective dose conversion coefficients for protons from 5 MeV to 10 TeV

Description
Conversion coefficients from proton fluence to effective dose have been calculated by the FLUKA code for various geometrical conditions of irradiation of an anthropomorphic phantom placed in a vacuum. Calculations have been performed for monoenergetic protons of energy ranging from 5 MeV to 10 TeV. Since no conversion coefficients in terms of effective dose are known at present for protons, this paper closes an important data gap. (author)
