Description

The versatility of carbon to form new materials has led to the discovery of many new carbon-based superconductors. A brief survey of some carbon-based super-conductors is given. With discoveries in organics materials, carbon nanotubes, doped diamond and doped fullerenes, among others, Tc has risen from from mK to 40 K over the last 45 years, with projections to go higher.
