Evaluation of some flax mutants induced by irradiation under different agricultural treatments
Creators
Description
The present investigation was carried out at the experimental farm of nuclear research center at Inshas during the seasons (1986/87 and 1988/89 ) to evaluate four flax mutants (No. 5,6,15 and 25) and two commercial varieties (Giza 4 and Giza 6) under different nitrogen levels (25, 45 and 65 Kg N/fed.) and different sowing dates (Nov.30, Dec.15 and Dec.30). The study included the technical stem length. No. of basal branches, fruit ing zone length, straw yield/yield /plant, No. of capsules/plant, seed yield/plant, oil yield and oil content. In addition, the distribution of fatty acids and correlation were studied to follow the true relationships between fatty acids and oil content
