Method for quantifying defects in materials by microdensitometry of radiography films
Description
This report describes the principle of a method for quantifying defects on metal parts obtained by casting. It is based on the relation expressing the optical density of the image according to the thickness of the material. The three techniques used, to wit: gammagraphy, microdensitometry and data processing, are presented, as is the equipment used and the methodology adopted
