Zirconium hydride radiation swelling
- 1. Gosudarstvennyj Komitet po Ispol'zovaniyu Atomnoj Ehnergii SSSR, Obninsk (Russian Federation). Fiziko-Ehnergeticheskij Inst.
Description
Consideration is given to results of electron-microscopic investigations of zirconium hydride microstructure after neutron irradiation up to fluence of 3x1026 m-2 (En>0.1 MeV). Results of porosity investigation testify to the fact that zirconium hydride irradiation by fast neutrons in 700-800 K range led to formation of pores of 1.5-20 nm size. Porosity propagation with fluence growth was caused by occurrence of new pores. Swelling of zirconium hydride after neutron irradiation up to 3x1026 m-2 fluence at 733-800 K was equal to 5%
