Effect of the surface H/He ratio on spectra of carbon stars
Creators
Description
It is shown that observations of CH in N irregular and semiregular carbon stars are consistent with hydrogen depletion by a factor of 10 as predicted by a CNO bi-cycle model. Chemical abundances for carbon stars at constant temperature and pressures have been calculated for hydrogen mass fractions from 0.739 to 10- .
