Description
Investigation and evaluation of radionuclide distribution coefficient (Kd) in the soil samples are essential to prediction, transport, diffusion, and migration in the environment. The sorption behaviours of radionuclides in the soil could be influenced by many factors such as the nature of the radionuclides in the solution and physicochemical and geological properties of the soil. Several factors control Cs sorption to the soil, such as metal concentrations, pH, ionic strength, temperature, textural properties, and organic matter. Therefore, the present work aimed to investigate the sorption behaviours of the Cs in different subsurface sandy soil samples collected from FRFCF Site with different physicochemical properties and also in various pH conditions by batch experiments
