Patent
Radioactive waste solidification material and radioactive waste processing method
Creators
- 1. Hitachi Ltd., Tokyo (Japan)
Description
Soluble materials which react with carbonic ions to generate insoluble compounds are added to a solidification material. Further, the soluble materials which react with carbonic ions to generate insoluble compounds are previously mixed with liquid wastes as a pretreatment, and then, the wastes are solidified. As a result, C-14 contained in the radioactive wastes can be converted into insoluble materials, and C-14 retainability of the solidified wastes is increased by about one digit to improve the safety of the solidified materials than conventional cases.
