Features of fracture mechanism for dispersion-strengthened tungsten

Description
Mechanical properties and fracture mechanisms for unalloyed dispersion-stregthened tungsten (W-Y2O3-HfO2) in the temperature interval from 20 to 2750 deg C are compared. In dispersion-strengthened tungsten, when testing temperature increasing, the same change of fracture mechanisms takes place as in unalloyed one: quasi-brittle chipping at low temperatures is partially changed by plastic fracture at 400 deg C; plastic fracture with the grain is observed in the interval from 1000 to 1600 deg C and beginning from 1800 deg C plastic intercrystalline fracture occurs
