Measurement Of Hot Electrons Produced From A Laser Solid Interaction Using K alpha Spectroscopy

Description

We report results from a study of electrons produced in a high intensity laser solid target interaction. The K alpha emission from the Pd on Sn targets were spectrally resolved and recorded on a single hit CCD. Analysis of the results using electron transport based on average electron energy losses calculated by Spencer shows that the bulk of the laser energy (50%) is transferred to 100 keV electrons moving into the target under our experimental conditions. experimental conditions
