Dual-energy digital radiography in laryngeal disorders

Dual-energy digital radiography using a condensor X-ray apparatus and a computed radiography unit (FCR) was used for twelve patients with various laryngeal disorders. Comparison with the conventional high kV radiography of the larynx was made. The result suggested that the dual-energy digital radiography was superior to the conventional method in the glottic and subglottic regions. The dual-energy digital radiography was considered to be useful in routine use for laryngeal disorders. (author)
